allowing us the privilege of providing you with your new best
friend. We are happy to share our knowledge and love of this
magnificent breed. We may not have all of the answers nor are we a
substitute for quality veterinary care. However, we will do what we can
to ensure that your questions are answered. If we do not have the
answers we will direct you to an appropriate professional who can
provide you with the correct answers.
Note 1: All
Deposits are non-refundable and sales final. Any request other than
described will be decided at the discretion of the seller.
Note 2: Your
puppy/dog comes with a 48-hour health guarantee. We feel that it is
very important for you to have your puppy checked out by your
veterinarian. If within 48 hours from receiving your puppy your
veterinarian finds a life threatening illness or disease, kindly
return the puppy along with a letter from your veterinarian stating
the problem as well as the invoice from the veterinarian clinic. We
will gladly replace the puppy with the next available puppy of the
same sex and comparable quality (show or pet).
We guarantee
that your puppy has been wormed at 2, 3, 4 and 6 weeks of age and
has received all age appropriate vaccines. Please note: Chihuahua
puppies do not start receiving their first worming until 3 weeks of
age. Although every precaution has been taken to ensure that your
puppy does not have worms, they are a very common occurrence in
puppies and can re-occur after treatment. We do not guarantee
against any external or internal parasites.
Coccidia
and Giardia are other common puppy problems, and although we do not
have a problem with it on our premises as we strive to keep it from
becoming an issue, over 30% of all puppies carry these protozoa.
Some immune systems seem to handle it better than others, while some
require medication to get over it. Coccidia is caused by a protozoa
passed through feces that are ingested. Giardia can
be contracted by drinking stagnant water, or by chewing on an
infected stick. None of these are considered life threatening unless
left untreated and are therefore not covered under the health
guarantee.
A two-year Genetic Defect Warranty is also
provided for your puppy. Should your puppy be diagnosed with a
genetic hip or eye defect within 24 months from birth, simply
provide the documentation and invoice from the veterinarian and we
will offer you a replacement pup of the same sex and comparable
value from an upcoming litter. The defect will not be honored if
found to have developed due to a non-genetic factors such as trauma,
stress, neglect or abuse. Please note: for any hip guarantee's an
x-ray must be done when the puppy turns 2 years of age, and sent to
OFA for evaluation. We will only replace a puppy if his/her 2 year
old OFA results come back as OFA poor. We will require a copy of the
OFA results. If the OFA results come back as OFA poor, you will need
to have said puppy/dog spayed/neutered before we will offer you
another puppy. You will have the choice to keep the above mentioned
puppy/dog or give her/him back to us. The same goes for Patella's.
For eye issues (cataracts, glaucoma, and PRA), a CERF exam must be
done by an eye specialist and a copy sent to us. If they do not pass
their CERF exam then we will offer a replacement puppy from one of
our upcoming litters.
Please note, In order for the 2 year genetic
warranty to be effective, said buyer must also send proof that the
said puppy/dog was seen by a licensed Veterinarian within 48 hours
after receiving puppy. We do not guarantee against Luxating
patella's (Unless the Chihuahua puppy is being shown); for the fact it is too hard to determine if the cause was
due to trauma or neglect.
In the event
that said puppy/dog dies we require a necropsy to be performed at
buyers cost by a licensed veterinarian.
If full registration is given: We
cannot guarantee if a puppy will turn out to be show quality. We can
only state if we believe they might be a show prospect. We also
cannot guarantee the puppy can sire or whelp a litter. We will
guarantee that both testicles are descended by 12 months of age (Only for full registration.)
We will also guarantee the bite of the puppy is correct by 1 year of
age (only with full registration.)
Note 3: This
puppy shall be maintained in an adequate enclosed area and not
allowed to roam freely.
Note 4: If at
any time, the buyer named above wishes to dispose of said puppy/dog,
he/she shall first offer him back to the seller.
Your
puppy will always be welcomed back should you, for any reason in the
future, find yourself unable to keep or properly care for him/her.
Please remember this prior to surrendering your puppy to a shelter
or to someone unfamiliar with the breed. Not contacting BNH kennels
prior to selling or placing the puppy/dog, will result in a BREACH
OF CONTRACT!
If we agree
that you may place said puppy/dog in another home, we require all of
the potential new owner's information. If this is not given to us,
then you are again in breach of contract.
Note 5: The
registration certificate or application to register the puppy/dog
will be furnished to the buyer upon receipt from AKC.
If
purchasing Limited Registration: the registration certificate or
application to register the puppy/dog will be furnished to the buyer
upon receipt of verification from a licensed veterinarian of spay or
neuter.
NOTE 6: (VERY IMPORTANT): THERE WILL BE A LIFE
TIME NEGLECT OR ABUSE CLAUSE, MEANING IF THE PUP/DOG IS NOT BEING
CARED FOR PROPERLY BNH KENNELS
CAN AND WILL PICK UP THIS PUPPY/DOG, AND ALL PAPER WORK WILL BE RETURNED TO BNH KENNELS.
OR IT WILL BE CONSIDERED A BREACH IN CONTRACT!
Note 7: We will offer back $25.00 for every title you get on your
puppy, including CGC, after proof has been sent to us. This offer is
up to $100.00, or 4 different titles. If you get your puppies
champion title through AKC, we will offer back $100.00, after proof
of his/her champion title. This may be combined with the other four
titles. If you get your puppies champion title through UKC, we will
offer back $25.00, and this can be combined with the other four
titles as well.
Note 8: Once said puppy/dog leaves BNH's premise's, we are not
accountable for any vet bill's from said dog/puppy; Nor are we
responsible for any damage's said dog/puppy does after he/she leaves
our premise's. Please see note # 1.
Note 9: BNH's requires regular updates on said dog/puppy. If we do
not receive regular updates then any above mentioned guarantees will
be null and voided.
We have had a lot of questions concerning what
exactly do we mean by regular updates. So, I will try to clear up
all concerns in this area. We definitely want to know if you received your
puppy if he/she is being shipped, and how the 1st vet visit went. We
do appreciate all updates and pictures we can receive. However, as
long as we hear from you at least a couple times a year than you will not
be held in breech of contract. If we do not hear from you
then all guarantees will be null and voided.
The signatures placed below here by make validation of this
contract. Any breech in any part of this contract, will attest a
penalty fee of the purchase price of said puppy, and any court
cost's, plus lawyer fees if applicable. All court hearings will be
held in the state of Michigan, and in Mecosta County.
